French Canadian Language Support
|
The browser now has limited support for the French Canadian language.
Applications can now have French Canadian grammars and perform recognition against these grammars.
Built-in grammars are currently not supported for the French Canadian language.

New TTS Voice
|
There is a new French Canadian TTS voice julie (Vocalizer Female French Canadian).
Refer to the VoiceXML Programmer's Guide for complete
details.

ANI Spoofing
|
ANI spoofing is disabled by default on Café for outbound calls via call control tags.
A warning is thrown to VXML log. It is enabled by default on hosting servers.

Café Account Sign Up
|
Every new Café account sign-up will create a new account and will be
inactive by default. The welcome email will contain a URL to click to activate the account. For all disabled
Café accounts, developers cannot make calls to their own Café accounts. The platform plays an
error prompt that the account is disabled and exits.

Call Volume Restriction
|
Developers who are not current Bevocal hosting customers are now
restricted to 50 calls per day per developer.
|
Secure Logging Enhancements
|
When secure logging is enabled with the property
bevocal.securelogging.enabled, any captured utterances are also encrypted along with the
log contents.

Control recognition latencies
|
A new VXML property
bevocal.vxml.maxrecognitionlatency is supported. The application can limit the latency for
large and complex grammar recognitions.

Mask recognition latencies
|
A new VXML property
bevocal.sounds.maskrecognitionlatency is supported.
The application can use the
fetchaudio property along with this property to play a masking sound while the browser
is recognizing the user input.

VXML 2.1 recordutterance property
|
The new VXML 2.1 properties recordutterance
and recordutterancetype are now supported.
The old property bevocal.audio.capture would be deprecated in a future release.
The new shadow variables recording, recordingsize, recordingduration are now supported. Check out
<field> for more details.

VXML 2.1 srcexpr attribute
|
The srcexpr attribute in now supported on
<grammar>,
<data>,
and <script>, tags.

VXML 2.1 namelist attribute on the <disconnect> tag
|
The namelist attribute on the
<disconnect> tag is accepted by browser, but is
currently ignored. In the future, the browser may use this attribute to support UUI information from the call.

VXML 2.1 <foreach> tag
|
The
<foreach> tag is now
available. This new tag is the same as the <bevocal:foreach> tag
|
VXML 2.1 type attribute on the <transfer> and <bevocal:dial> tags
|
The new type attribute is supported for the <transfer>
and <bevocal:dial> tags.

Audio file recognition
|
The attribute bevocal:urlexpr on the
<field> tag now allows you specify a local audio variable as well
as an actual audio file URI.
